Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Upon arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed to the pearl of Africa by our safari guide, who will give a brief about Uganda and transfer you to Lake Mburo National Park. You will reach in the afternoon, check in, and relax. You’ll have an early dinner and go for a night game drive with chances of spotting the elusive leopard.
Day 2: Boat Trip and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After a relaxed breakfast, you’ll go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. The most popular activity in the park, the boat trip reliably produces good sightings of hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, waterbuck, and bushbuck. Among the more conspicuous water birds are the African fish eagle, marabou stork, pied kingfisher, egrets, and herons.
You’ll check out and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will drive through the volcanic landscape with steep sides to the home of the mountain gorillas. You’ll check in and have a relaxed evening as you prepare for gorilla trekking the following day.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
You’ll wake up early in the morning in gorilla trekking attire as you will be advised by your 4-day gorilla trekking and night safari guide, have breakfast and go for trekking which is a life time experience ever. The highlight of your safari is meeting the gentle giants of Bwindi. Hikers will especially love the trekking in the ecosystem of the park.
The trek takes 3-4 hours, depending on where you find the gorillas. The park ranger will interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the gorillas. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one hour with them. You’ll come back for lunch and check out of Lake Bunyonyi. You’ll drive through the misty hills and hope to reach the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Entebbe International Airport
You’ll have a relaxing breakfast at the lodge terrace while viewing the beautiful islands of the lake and nice breath from the lake and hills as you prepare for the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Expect a stopover for lunch and a cup of homemade organic coffee at the Uganda Equator for memorable pictures and souvenir shopping en route to the airport.
